The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for multiple development projects in Delhi valued at Rs 335 billion (bn). The projects range from metro expansion to modern residential complexes for thousands of government employees and aim to strengthen infrastructure and improve connectivity. The initiative was described as giving new momentum to the capital's development.

The scope includes the extension of the metro network to 375 kilometre, expected to provide major convenience to hundreds of thousands of commuters, particularly in East and North-East Delhi. The national government said over four thousand electric buses supplied by the Centre are already operational and an additional 1,800 buses were deployed in the last year, including hundreds of named Devi Buses to improve last-mile connectivity. Peripheral transport upgrades have diverted hundreds of thousands of vehicles away from the city, reducing congestion.

A massive initiative for Yamuna rejuvenation is under way, with projects in progress to restore cleanliness and ecological health and with sizeable investments. Health infrastructure has been expanded through the establishment of several Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and the implementation of the Ayushman scheme in Delhi, enabling poor and middle class households to access free medical treatment and healthcare benefits. Financial inclusion measures were highlighted, with around 200,000 street vendors in Delhi reported to have received over Rs 3,500 million (mn) in formal financial assistance and access to credit facilities to reduce reliance on high-interest informal loans.

The government described housing handovers of thousands of flats for government employees as part of improving living standards for public servants and said these developments aim to create safer, cleaner and more convenient residences. Women's empowerment was emphasised with over 100 mn women reported to be members of self-help groups and plans announced to create a further 30 mn Lakhpati Didis supported by access to capital, banking and training. The programme was characterised as part of a broader development model focused on swift execution, tangible results and collective effort toward a developed future for the capital.
