Prism Johnson Expands Range With Prism Chakachak Gypsum Plaster

Prism Johnson Limited (Prism Johnson) has introduced Prism Chakachak Gypsum Plaster under its cement division, Prism Cement, as part of a strategy to broaden its value-added construction materials portfolio. The product forms part of the premix walling range and is formulated as a lightweight, quick-setting plaster intended to deliver smooth, paint-ready wall and ceiling finishes. The plaster requires no water curing and is designed to reduce overall construction time and labour requirements on site. The company positioned the launch as a move to leverage its existing distribution network and to offer integrated interior and finishing solutions.

Prism Chakachak Gypsum Plaster offers low shrinkage and minimal cracking, and it is naturally fire resistant while being eco friendly. The material is reported to provide good thermal and acoustic insulation and to add minimal additional load to structures, which may benefit retrofit and new build projects. Its quick setting properties aim to shorten finishing cycles and to improve overall site productivity. The absence of water curing is expected to reduce both on site logistics and wet trades exposure.

Prism Cement maintains a strong presence in central India, with key markets including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar and with a dealer network of approximately 2,400 dealers. The new plaster will be made available across the company operating regions through this established distribution footprint. Dealers and retailers are to be supplied via existing supply chains, which the company anticipates will facilitate rapid market access and uptake. The product introduction is positioned to capitalise on the group's integrated manufacturing and sales capabilities.

Prism Johnson offers a diversified portfolio of building materials spanning cement, tiles, bathware, ready mix concrete and construction chemicals, and the addition of gypsum plaster further strengthens the integrated product basket. The wider range is intended to enable customers to source multiple solutions under one roof. The launch reinforces the company's strategy to expand value added materials and to deepen market reach through established partners.
