PTC Industries, a leading manufacturer of high-performance materials and precision-engineered components for Defence and Aerospace, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharat Dynamics (BDL) to establish a Joint Venture (JV) for the design, development, and manufacture of propulsion systems, aero-engines, guided bombs, and loitering munitions for missiles and UAVs, subject to regulatory approvals.
The MoU was exchanged during the Lokarpan Ceremony of PTC’s Titanium & Superalloys Materials Plant at the Strategic Materials Technology Complex (SMTC), Lucknow, in the presence of Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath.
This collaboration will strengthen India’s indigenous defence capabilities under the ‘Make in India’ initiative, reducing dependence on foreign suppliers and enhancing domestic manufacturing of liquid and solid rocket motors, ramjet and turbojet engines for UAVs and drones. The partnership will leverage PTC’s expertise in critical materials and precision-engineered components to establish a fully integrated design-to-delivery pathway for strategic propulsion technologies.
Sachin Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director, PTC Industries, said, “This Joint Venture with BDL is a decisive step toward building India’s capability in critical propulsion and engine technologies. By combining BDL’s proven systems pedigree with PTC’s materials and precision-engineering expertise, we aim to create an indigenous, future-ready ecosystem for missiles, UAVs, and next-generation strategic platforms—fully aligned with Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
