Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group (RVAG) has secured US$40 mn, about Rs 4 bn, in a Series B funding round co?led by Norwest and Skegen Asset Management. The round also saw participation from Indus Bridge Ventures and GJNX Ventures as the Hyderabad?based aerospace and deeptech manufacturer seeks to scale across multiple markets. The investment will provide capital for expanded production and technology development.

RVAG intends to deploy the funds to increase manufacturing capacity and upgrade facilities in India, the United Kingdom and the United States, and to accelerate work on an upcoming manufacturing site. Part of the capital will be allocated to its Mission Systems, Deep Tech and Autonomous businesses as the group broadens activity beyond conventional aerospace supply. The company will also use funding for research and development partnerships with academic and defence research organisations.

RVAG manufactures precision?engineered components and sub?assemblies for the aerospace and defence sectors and operates more than 10 facilities across India, the UK and the US. Its customer list includes GE Aerospace, Honeywell, Safran and Collins Aerospace, while it supplies energy?sector clients such as Halliburton, SLB and GE. The group handles a wide range of manufacturing stages in?house, from design and engineering to testing and final assembly.

The order book stands at more than Rs 25 bn, giving RVAG a substantial pipeline as it scales capacity. Production capabilities include CNC machining, sheet?metal fabrication, electronics, gears, fasteners and NADCAP?approved special processes, enabling end?to?end work for major programmes. RVAG is developing turbojet engines, aircraft hydraulic pumps, missile subsystems, jet?powered and internal?combustion drones and unmanned ground vehicles for the Indian armed forces, supported by collaborations with the Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Information Technology, the Aeronautical Development Agency and the Defence Research and Development Organisation.
