Ramco Systems partners with ePlane for flying taxi software

Global aviation software provider Ramco Systems has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The ePlane Company (Ubifly Technologies Private Limited), an innovative startup developing India’s first electric flying taxi — the ePlane e200X.

The agreement lays the groundwork for ePlane to adopt Ramco Aviation Software for full lifecycle management of its e200X fleet, including air taxis, air ambulances, and air cargo operations.

As the e200X moves through certification and regulatory approvals, Ramco and ePlane will collaborate to implement the software in phases, aligning with the aircraft’s progress from manufacturing to commercial deployment. The partnership is designed to help ePlane establish a scalable digital infrastructure to support its long-term operational growth.

Under the MoU, ePlane will gain access to Ramco’s comprehensive aviation suite, which covers a wide range of modules — from Engineering and CAMO, Maintenance, Supply Chain, MRO and Part Sales, to Flight Operations, Safety, Quality and Compliance, Manufacturing, Employee Management, and Finance and Accounting.

Prof Satya Chakravarthy, Founder of The ePlane Company, said:

“Developing India’s first flying electric taxi requires not only engineering excellence but also a technology partner who understands the complexities of aviation. Ramco Systems’ platform enables us to manage operations, engineering, and compliance efficiently, while staying agile and future-ready. This partnership marks a key step as we move towards manufacturing and commercial readiness.”

The collaboration highlights India’s growing capabilities in urban air mobility, combining Ramco’s aviation technology expertise with ePlane’s vision to redefine short-distance transport through sustainable, electric flight solutions.
