Redington To Distribute SolarEdge Product Portfolio Across India

Redington (the distributor) has been appointed to distribute SolarEdge (the manufacturer) product portfolio across India, signalling an expanded channel for rooftop and utility solar solutions. The scope includes inverters, power optimisers and energy storage systems for residential, commercial and industrial customers. Redington will deploy its national sales force and logistics network to improve product availability and speed of delivery. The move is intended to support installers and system integrators with authorised supply and aftersales support across major markets and nationwide distribution.

The partners plan to roll out training and technical support programmes for channel partners and installers to ensure correct sizing, installation and commissioning practices. Redington will use its warehousing footprint and vendor management processes to maintain stocks and manage warranty fulfilment. SolarEdge will provide product documentation, firmware updates and technical guidance to streamline commissioning and monitoring. Both companies expect to harmonise inventory and logistics to reduce lead times and supply disruptions.

Industry participants noted that the scale of India’s renewable deployment creates opportunities for enhanced distribution networks and end to end support for smaller installers. The collaboration is likely to address gaps in last mile availability and technical expertise in tier two and tier three towns while servicing metropolitan projects. Redington’s relationships with local distributors and dealers will be used to expand reach. SolarEdge’s product range will be positioned across price bands and application segments.

The partnership will be monitored through performance metrics covering order fulfilment, training delivery and customer satisfaction, with periodic reviews to refine channel strategies. Redington will report sales progress through its existing commercial channels and support programmes for partners will be scaled as required. SolarEdge will continue to innovate its inverter and storage offerings to address evolving grid and consumer needs. The collaboration aims to accelerate market penetration without creating direct retail competition between the partners.
