Refex Industries Bags Rs 404.2 Mn Ash Transport Order
Chennai-based Refex Industries has built a portfolio spanning ash and coal handling, wind energy and green mobility solutions. The company stated that operational teams will be responsible for logistics, compliance and safety management under the contract. The slab-wise rate structure establishes pricing bands for varying volumes and distances and provides a framework for periodic billing. Contract execution will rely on existing assets and manpower deployed in the relevant region.
On a year-on-year basis the company's consolidated net profit surged 201.22 per cent to Rs 638.0 mn in Q1 FY27 from Rs 211.7 mn in Q1 FY26. The company reported the results on a consolidated basis and attributed growth to operational efficiencies and stronger order inflows. The newly secured order will contribute to revenue as the contract is carried out during the twelve month tenure. The announcement did not furnish detailed segmental margins or forward guidance.
Shares of Refex Industries fell by less than one per cent to Rs 296.90 on the BSE following the disclosure. Slab-wise transportation contracts are common in bulk handling and typically involve scheduled mobilisations and defined rate cards. The contract reinforces the company's focus on bulk materials logistics and related services within the domestic market. The firm will proceed with implementation while maintaining compliance and delivery schedules.
