Reliance Consumer Buys Majority Stake In Goodness Group
Under the strategic partnership RCPL will support the expansion of GGG's flagship brands, including Nexba and PACE, across newer markets, with a particular focus on India. PACE is a hydration brand co-created with Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins and Nexba is positioned as a gut-health beverage formulated with the proprietary Goodsweet plant-based sweetener. RCPL leadership described the deal as a step towards establishing the company as a global FMCG player and enabling wider availability of healthier beverage options.
Sydney-based Goodness Group Global operates in Australia and 21 other global markets and offers a portfolio that also includes BISON, a protein-based beverage brand, and GOOD BREKKIE, which delivers liquid breakfast options. The partnership is expected to leverage RCPL's supply chain and retail reach to scale GGG's brands across additional territories. Both companies indicated that the collaboration aims to accelerate international expansion and innovation in the better-for-you category.
RCPL has already forayed into markets such as UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Nepal and Sri Lanka and will integrate GGG's offerings into its existing healthy beverages portfolio, which includes RasKik and Sun Crush juices, zero-sugar carbonated soft drinks and the herbal-natural brand Shunya. The companies expect to pursue growth in up to 50 western markets over the next five years while working to make global quality products accessible and affordable. The transaction reinforces RCPL's ambition to emerge as a leading global consumer goods company from India.
