RITES Wins USD 20.6 Million Rail Order In Mozambique

RITES Limited has secured a significant international order from ICVL Mozambique for the supply of new Cape Gauge diesel-electric locomotives along with preventive maintenance services. The company received the Letter of Intent for the project and disclosed the development to stock exchanges on 27 January 2026 under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations.

Under the contract, RITES will supply brand-new Cape Gauge diesel-electric locomotives and provide preventive maintenance services, including consumable spares, at the project site. The scope of work includes both equipment supply and long-term maintenance support, underscoring RITES’ expanding presence in international railway infrastructure projects.

The order, awarded by an international entity, is valued at USD 20.6 million. As per the contract terms, the supply of locomotives is expected to be completed within 15 months, while maintenance services will be delivered over a period of 24 months.

RITES clarified that neither its promoter nor promoter group has any interest in the awarding entity and that the contract does not constitute a related-party transaction. The order strengthens RITES’ global footprint and reinforces its position as a key player in railway engineering consultancy and the export of rolling stock solutions.
