RLDA Invites Bids To Lease 5,000 Sq M Rail Land At Adilabad

The Rail Land Development Authority of India has invited e-tenders for the grant of a lease over approximately 5,000 sq m of railway land at Adilabad railway station in Telangana. The lease is offered for a period of 60 years and is being managed by RLDA on behalf of the Nanded Division of South-Central Railway. Bids are sought under a single-stage two-cover bidding system from interested and eligible bidders. The authority has framed the process as an open commercial development opportunity adjacent to station facilities.

Tender documents record the reference as RLDA/2026/RFP/CD/53 and set the bid security at Rs3.5 mn. A pre-bid meeting was scheduled for 11 August 2026 and the e-bid submission deadline is 27 August 2026 at 15:00 hours. The reserve price is set at Rs105 mn in terms of net present value and the built-up area envisaged for development totals 12,848 sq m. The concession model specifies a revenue share of 10 per cent to be paid to the railway.

The scope covers grant of lease for commercial development over the identified land parcel with provisions for construction within the stated built-up limit and adherence to applicable railway land and development norms. The lease tenure, financial assurances and evaluation criteria are described in the tender papers to guide prospective bidders. The authority expects developers to factor station operations and passenger access into their proposals.

Adilabad station is classified as an NSG-five category station in the Nanded division and has three platforms serving connections into neighbouring Maharashtra and other regional hubs. The initiative forms part of a broader RLDA effort to monetise rail land through long-term leases and boost commercial utility of station precincts. Interested parties are required to consult the published tender documents and submit bids online through the prescribed e-tendering portal.
