Rosatom Invites Indian Firms for Northern Sea Route
Global Maritime India Summit: A Global Confluence: The Global Maritime India Summit brought together a diverse array of global companies and government agencies from over 40 countries. Participants included representatives from Europe, Africa, South America, Asia, and the Middle East, demonstrating the event's international significance. The summit was organised by the Indian Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways and featured a welcoming video message from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Rosatom's Vision for the Northern Sea Route: During his speech at the summit, Vladimir Panov emphasised Rosatom's commitment to fostering partnership relationships and encouraged Indian and other international partners to collaborate in the development of the Northern Sea Route as a sustainable route for international cargo shipping. This collaboration opens doors to engagement in various domains, including shipbuilding, construction, port infrastructure modernisation and operation, digital and service infrastructure creation, and scientific cooperation in ecology and sustainable Arctic shipping.
Diverse Participation: The session also witnessed the active involvement of Russian shipping companies, relevant departments, and ministries, underlining the importance of collective efforts in advancing maritime development in the Arctic region and beyond.
