The announcement was made at the company’s scheduled Board of Directors meeting on 17 July 2025. Badalia stepped down citing personal reasons.

Rajdipkumar Gupta, Founder and Managing Director of Route Mobile, has been re-designated as Chief Executive Officer. He will continue to serve as Managing Director in addition to his new responsibilities. Gupta has led the company since its inception in 2004 and brings deep operational and strategic expertise to the role.

In a parallel move, the company has elevated Sammy Mamdani, Executive Vice President – Group Head – Global Operations, to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Mamdani brings over 18 years of experience across senior leadership roles. He has previously worked with Protiviti, a Mumbai-based investment firm, and served as COO of Cellent Technologies (India), which was acquired by Route Mobile in 2016. He holds an MBA from the University of Central Florida.

These leadership changes are aimed at enhancing execution and operational efficiency as Route Mobile continues to grow its global footprint.
