The Startup Accelerator of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for Product Innovation, Development and Growth programme aims to accelerate around 300 startups through existing and upcoming accelerators in health technology, education technology, agriculture technology, consumer technology, financial technology, software as a service and sustainability. Under the programme, 186 accelerators submitted expressions of interest and 43 accelerators were selected across 16 states, with state level details set out in an annexure. The selection sought to cover a range of sectoral specialisms to support product development and market access.

MeitY Start-up Hub (MSH) under Digital India Corporation (DIC) monitors and evaluates the performance of the selected accelerators using quantitative and qualitative parameters and tracks revenue and valuation growth of supported startups on an annual basis. The monitoring framework is designed to assess acceleration programme outcomes, mentor engagement and scaling potential. MSH also collects accelerator wise data to inform future support.

The programme provides financial support of Rs zero point two mn per startup to selected accelerators and matching funding to startups up to a maximum of four mn, in accordance with programme guidelines. Of the 373 startups accelerated under the scheme, 241 have secured matching funding and accelerator level data on startups accelerated, funded, and funds disbursed over the last five years are recorded in the annexure. Total funds disbursed under the programme are reported as Rs 937.5 mn, reflecting support across multiple states and cohorts.

MSH will continue to evaluate accelerator outcomes and report periodically to MeitY to guide policy and implementation.
