SCCL Chief Plants 204 Saplings, Total Nears 20,000

Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director, N. Balram, planted 204 fruit-bearing saplings on Monday in the Kothagudem bungalows area, taking his personal contribution to 19,775 saplings planted across Telangana’s coal belt.
The plantation was part of the ongoing “Van Mahotsav” campaign, with Mr Balram once again demonstrating his unwavering commitment to enhancing green cover in the region.
According to SCCL officials, the State-owned coal mining enterprise has distributed millions of fruit-bearing saplings to residents of villages surrounding its operational areas.
To date, SCCL has planted approximately 54.7 million saplings of diverse tree species across 15,231 hectares and has developed multiple mini-forests throughout the coal belt, which spans six districts of the State.
