Shree Refrigerations Secures Rs. 140 mn Indian Navy Orders

Pune-based Shree Refrigerations has secured multiple orders worth more than Rs. 140 mn from the Indian Navy over the past one-and-a-half months, expanding its presence in defence manufacturing. The company disclosed the contracts in a stock exchange filing dated October 8, 2026.

The latest order, valued at Rs. 78.6 mn excluding goods and services tax, covers the supply of two advanced air conditioning plants. The contract has been awarded by the Controller Procurement Material Organisation in Mumbai on behalf of the Indian Navy. Including GST, the total value of the latest contract is Rs. 82.5 mn.

The plants will use Magnetic Bearing Compressor technology and are required to be delivered by October 5, 2027. The company said the recent contract follows several other Indian Navy orders received during the past six weeks, including supplies of spare parts, defect rectification work and additional air conditioning plants based on the same technology.

Shree Refrigerations specialises in refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for defence applications. The company has about 35 years of experience in refrigeration manufacturing and shifted its focus towards the defence sector around a decade ago. Its products and related services support the Indian Navy and other strategic defence requirements.

The company said its manufacturing capabilities, specialised technology and service support had strengthened its position in defence equipment manufacturing. It also linked its development of indigenous solutions to the government's Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. Shree Refrigerations made its stock market debut on August 1, 2025, and said the latest contracts would add to its defence order portfolio while providing business visibility through the scheduled delivery period.
