Sigachi Industries Receives Green Approval for Dahej SEZ Plant

Sigachi Industries has obtained environmental clearance from the Gujarat State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) to establish a major greenfield facility in the Dahej Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Bharuch. This facility represents one of the company's largest manufacturing expansions, aimed at supporting its global growth objectives.

The new facility, with a capacity of 3,120 MT per month, will focus on producing advanced cellulose and starch-based excipients, along with other high-value ingredients vital for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and food industries. Located within an SEZ, the plant is designed to enhance exports, provide greater operational flexibility, and adhere to strict international standards.

The Dahej project is expected to strengthen Sigachi’s position in international supply chains and facilitate the company’s expansion into rapidly growing global markets.

The company stated that the expansion is a reflection of its commitment to building world-class manufacturing capabilities. The project aligns with India’s “Make in India” initiative, positioning the country as a significant global player in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
