SiMa.ai, ARK Electronics Partner for Autonomous Drones

SiMa.ai and ARK Electronics have partnered to accelerate the development and deployment of intelligent autonomous drones for commercial, defence, industrial and agriculture applications.

The companies have launched the ARK-SiMa.ai Modalix MLSoC Bundles, a production-ready solution designed to simplify the development of high-performance drones while improving affordability and scalability.

SiMa.ai’s Physical AI platform combines hardware and software through the Modalix System-on-Module (SoM), built on the Modalix MLSoC, along with Palette Neat, an agentic development environment designed to reduce AI development timelines.

By integrating SiMa.ai’s AI computing platform with ARK Electronics’ drone and robotics expertise, the partnership aims to provide a complete foundation for autonomous systems with improved performance, lower power consumption and cost efficiency.

Durga Peddireddy, VP of Strategic Business Development and Partnerships, SiMa.ai, said the collaboration will provide the drone ecosystem with a US-made solution that combines trusted hardware and advanced AI capabilities for intelligent autonomy.

Alex Klimaj, CEO, ARK Electronics, said the partnership will help customers develop and deploy autonomous drone solutions faster across defence, agriculture and commercial applications.

The Modalix SoM is compatible with leading GPU-based edge platforms, helping drone developers accelerate product development, reduce design risks and improve time-to-market. The joint solution is designed to deliver enhanced performance per watt through an optimised Size, Weight, Power and Cost (SWaP-C) platform for next-generation drone applications.
