Sonny's Opens Global Capability Centre in Pune

Sonny's Enterprises, the world’s largest manufacturer of conveyorised car wash equipment, parts, and supplies, has inaugurated its new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Pune, India. This strategic expansion reinforces Sonny’s commitment to technological innovation and its ambition to provide top-tier support to car wash operators worldwide.

The Pune centre will act as a hub for accelerating development of Sonny’s proprietary Quivio ecosystem—an integrated suite of software and hardware solutions aimed at enhancing revenue and operational efficiency for car wash operators. Currently employing 25 professionals, the facility is expected to expand to 100 by the end of the year.

“This marks a major milestone in Sonny’s global growth strategy,” said Curt Hutchins, CEO. “India’s skilled talent base and thriving tech infrastructure make it an ideal location to scale innovation and strengthen customer value delivery globally.”

The Pune GCC will collaborate closely with Sonny’s North American teams, ensuring continuous innovation across time zones. It will support the company’s operations in engineering, data science, and customer service, while promoting an inclusive, high-performance culture aligned with its core values.

Chief Technology Officer Eashwer Srinivasan noted, “This centre reflects our vision for a scalable and resilient tech organisation. Pune’s talent will be key in advancing Quivio and delivering future-ready solutions.”

Tim Elhefnawy, Executive Vice President of Business and Digital Transformation, emphasised the centre’s strategic importance: “The GCC is vital to scaling with agility and precision. It underpins our mission of continuous improvement and operational transformation.”

The inauguration ceremony was held on 21 May 2025 and attended by Hutchins, Srinivasan, and Elhefnawy.
