TACC, CGT Partner to Boost Graphene Commercialisation

TACC Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of HEG Limited and part of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has signed a strategic Technical Collaboration Agreement with Ceylon Graphene Technologies (CGT), a subsidiary of Sri Lanka’s LOLC Holdings PLC and a global pioneer in graphene research. The partnership aims to accelerate the commercialisation and widespread adoption of graphene and its derivatives across multiple industries.
Through this collaboration, CGT will contribute its decade-long expertise in graphene innovation, scaling, and application development. TACC will complement this with its strong foundation in graphite technology, carbon science, proprietary graphene synthesis processes, and application-driven derivative development, enabling the creation of cutting-edge material solutions.
The alliance unites two powerful industrial legacies—India’s LNJ Bhilwara Group and Sri Lanka’s LOLC Group—laying the groundwork for future innovation and cross-border collaboration in advanced materials.
TACC’s active sectoral partnerships reflect the momentum behind this initiative. In the construction sector, it is collaborating with the National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB) and the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) on graphene-enhanced concrete. In textiles, TACC is working with Birla Cellulose (a division of Grasim Industries) and RSWM Limited to explore graphene applications in fabrics. These engagements exemplify TACC’s mission to pioneer the future of material science.
The agreement outlines a joint commitment to:
- Collaborate on engineering design, production scale-up, commissioning, and product validation;
- Conduct feasibility assessments with an emphasis on commercial sustainability and environmental standards;
- Fast-track trials, validations, and the commercial rollout of graphene-based technologies using pooled technical knowledge and shared data.
The partnership aspires to unlock the transformative potential of graphene—renowned for its versatility and strength—across sectors including construction, textiles, rubber, coatings, and energy storage. It also aligns with India’s ambition to lead the global frontier in next-generation material science.
