Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a global leader in IT services and business solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Unilab, Inc., one of the Philippines’ largest pharmaceutical companies, to modernise its core business systems through a comprehensive cloud migration initiative.
Under this collaboration, Unilab will transition from its legacy enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to a modern SAP S/4HANA digital core, delivered on RISE with SAP and powered by AWS Cloud. TCS will lead the end-to-end transformation—from strategy and design to data migration, testing, governance, and change management.
This upgrade aims to enhance operational agility, support data-driven decision-making, and lay the groundwork for long-term digital resilience and growth. The move is also expected to streamline supply chain operations and improve compliance and service delivery to a growing network of healthcare providers, clinics, and pharmacies across Asia.
Sebastian Frederick Baquiran, President and CEO of Unilab, remarked, “This partnership ensures we future-proof our operations and continue delivering healthcare excellence as we expand our portfolio and markets.”
With over 80 years of legacy, Unilab maintains a broad distribution network and manufacturing presence across multiple sites, serving 18 countries. The digital transformation will retain the company’s process expertise while integrating advanced analytics for greater efficiency and responsiveness.
Seema Mehra, Vice President & Business Head – ERU & LSHC, TCS (APAC, Middle East, Africa), said, “With SAP S/4HANA at the core, Unilab is reinforcing its position as a digital-first enterprise and accelerating innovation for better community healthcare.”
TCS brings over 25 years of experience in healthcare and life sciences, with a proven record in managing large-scale SAP deployments globally. Shiju Varghese, Country Head, TCS Philippines, added that the collaboration marks a milestone in enhancing digital capabilities across the region’s healthcare sector.
The initiative strengthens Unilab’s ability to meet future challenges with a flexible and scalable digital foundation—enabling faster innovation, improved compliance, and continued delivery of high-quality medicines and healthcare services.
