Technip Energies India has received the ISO 50001:2018 certification for its Energy Management System, marking a significant milestone in its sustainability and operational-excellence journey. The accreditation reinforces the company’s position as an industry benchmark for energy performance, innovation, and responsible engineering, while enhancing confidence among stakeholders and customers through transparent and robust energy practices.

The certification covers Technip Energies India’s integrated operations across project management, design, engineering, procurement, construction management, and manufacturing activities at its offices in Noida, Mumbai, Chennai, Gandhinagar, and the Modular Manufacturing Yard in Dahej. It recognises a well-structured system developed to ensure consistent energy-efficiency improvements across all business functions.

Davendra Kumar, Managing Director, said the certification acts as a strategic enabler that strengthens operational resilience, supports national energy priorities, and solidifies the company’s leadership in sustainable engineering. He noted that it demonstrates the organisation’s commitment to advancing efficiency across the energy value chain.

The certification follows an extensive process that included multi-site assessments, detailed energy studies, employee training, and system-wide process enhancements. Technip Energies India has made steady progress in reducing its environmental footprint, with two major offices switching entirely to renewable electricity in 2023. As a result, 53 per cent of the company’s electricity consumption in 2024 was sourced from renewables.

Earlier this year, Technip Energies commissioned a 750 kWp rooftop solar PV installation at its Modular Manufacturing Yard in Dahej, designed to generate 1,000 MWh of clean energy annually and cut Scope 2 emissions at the facility by nearly half. The Dahej yard serves as a key manufacturing hub, delivering advanced, scalable, and sustainable solutions for global industries.

The company continues to focus on responsible energy use and operational controls, aiming to enhance internal efficiency while supporting employees and customers in lowering their carbon footprint. These efforts reflect Technip Energies’ commitment to advancing a low-carbon future.
