Texmaco Bags Rs 187 Crore Orders from Kochi Metro and Vedanta

Texmaco has secured orders worth Rs 187 crore (1.87 billion (bn)) from Kochi Metro and Vedanta, the company announced on Wednesday. The contracts are for supply and services across its engineering and manufacturing divisions and will strengthen the firm's near term order book. The awards reflect rising infrastructure activity and demand from industrial customers, according to the company. The deals add significant revenue visibility for the coming quarters.

The Rs 187 crore value converts to 1,870 mn and represents a notable addition to Texmaco's contract backlog. The Kochi Metro award will support urban transit equipment requirements while the Vedanta contract aligns with heavy industry supply chains, the firm disclosed. Execution timelines have been set with phased deliveries and project milestones to align with client schedules. The orders will be integrated into current production plans to optimise resource allocation.

The company indicated operational readiness to execute the projects and outlined measures for quality control and compliance to meet client specifications. Capital allocation will be directed to support manufacturing throughput and working capital needs arising from the contracts. Management highlighted capacity planning and project management processes that will govern delivery and completion. These internal steps are intended to maintain operational discipline during ramp up.

Texmaco will reflect the orders in its forthcoming financial statements and incorporate delivery schedules into corporate reporting. The contracts are positioned to underpin short term revenue growth and provide a basis for bidding in urban infrastructure and industrial segments. Management reaffirmed commitment to timely delivery and adherence to standards as operations scale. Market participants will closely monitor subsequent order book movements and execution metrics for sector signals.
