TVS Motor Launches Armado 200 For Indonesian Terrain
The powertrain delivers maximum power of 10.6 kilowatt (kW) at 7,500 rpm and maximum torque of 15.5 Nm at 5,000 rpm with a five-speed manual transmission and a 16 litre fuel tank. The oil-cooled system is presented as offering higher operational resilience and easier maintenance than liquid-cooled alternatives and the chassis includes leaf-spring suspension with dampers for challenging roads. Ergonomic seating, a padded backrest and a USB charging port are included to improve operator comfort and utility.
The Armado 200 is offered in three colours and is priced at IDR 35,900,000 normally with an introductory on-the-road Jakarta price of IDR 34,900,000 and flexible financing options to support uptake. TVS noted that the product is a locally developed strategic offering intended to meet domestic demand and create future export potential, reflecting long-term investment in Indonesian manufacturing. The company has also committed to supplying the AGRINAS and Merah Putih Co-operatives initiative with Armado vehicles to support local economic value chains.
TVS provides an industry-leading engine warranty of three years or 30,000 km to reinforce confidence in durability and long-term total cost of ownership. With a cargo bed measuring 2,070 by 1,310 by 670 millimetre (mm) and ground clearance of 230 millimetre (mm), the vehicle is positioned to address logistics needs across suburban and rural areas.
