"The plan to create a unique 750-acre township in Partapur, which will serve as the entry point for the Delhi-Meerut rapid rail transit system into Meerut city, has received approval from the Ministry of Urban Development, Uttar Pradesh.

This proposed township will play a crucial role in supporting the development of infrastructure along the rail corridor. It aims to ensure the commercial viability of the regional rapid transit system (RRTS) and promote transit-oriented development (TOD), which has become a global standard in many developing nations.

The estimated cost of land acquisition for this project is approximately Rs 2,000 crore, with the state government offering 50 percent as an interest-free long-term loan. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is spearheading this initiative, adhering to transit-oriented development and value capture finance principles.

To aid the construction of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS, the state government has allocated Rs 350 crore. The project is set to be completed by 2025, and these funds will be used to expedite pending tasks, particularly in the Ghaziabad and Meerut sections."
