UP Govt Unveils Rs.12,909 Cr Supplementary Budget for 2024-25
The supplementary budget allocates ?42.28 billion for revenue expenditure and ?79.82 billion for capital expenditure. Key provisions include:
Industrial Development: ?75 billion Energy Department: ?20 billion Transport Department: ?10 billion crore for bus purchases Urban Development: ?6 billion for the Amrit Yojana Skill Development: ?2 billion for short-term programs under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Mission Sports Infrastructure: ?1 billion for rural stadiums and open gyms Additionally, the budget proposes ?284 million for setting up labs in 284 government inter-colleges and ?668.2 million crore for labs in 1,040 government secondary schools. The culture department receives ?749 million for various schemes, while ?531.5 million is allocated for establishing Atal residential schools, including ?27.9 million for maintenance of these residential and non-residential buildings.
This supplementary budget aims to bolster industrial growth, enhance energy infrastructure, improve public transportation, and promote urban and educational development in Uttar Pradesh.
