Uttar Pradesh Signs MoU with HGS Broadband Arm to Skill Youth
OIL will design capacity-building programmes, skill training workshops, structured initiatives and knowledge-sharing platforms for young people in the state and will offer research-based insights, technical recommendations and policy-level support to facilitate effective delivery. The initiative aims to skill zero point one mn youth from Uttar Pradesh and to connect them with employment opportunities, aligning curricula with industry requirements and emerging technologies. Programme plans will focus on preparing candidates for roles in connectivity, digital services and customer experience operations.
The Employment Department will coordinate with relevant institutions and stakeholders to ensure implementation, oversight and scalability of the programmes. OIL will collaborate with governments and institutions across India to support digital inclusion, connectivity-led development and technology-driven capacity building aligned with national growth priorities. The initiative will explore digital connectivity platforms, technology-enabled learning modules and industry partnerships to build future-ready talent pipelines and will consider the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing efficiency and transparency of public programmes.
