V-Green, HPCL Tie Up to Expand EV Charging Network

VinFast-backed charging infrastructure company V-Green on Tuesday announced a partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) to set up electric vehicle charging facilities across HPCL fuel stations in multiple markets.

The agreement is strategically significant as India accelerates its transition towards greener modes of transportation. HPCL’s extensive retail network of around 24,400 fuel outlets, along with more than 5,300 existing EV charging stations under its HP e-Charge brand, provides a strong platform for the rapid deployment and nationwide expansion of EV charging infrastructure.

V-Green said it will leverage HPCL’s fuel station footprint to develop and scale EV charging facilities, improving the overall experience for electric vehicle users and supporting faster electrification of transport in India. The collaboration is also expected to create a robust foundation for the long-term growth of the VinFast and HP e-Charge brands in the Indian market.

The company was established by Pham Nhat Vuong, founder of Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast, with the objective of strengthening EV charging infrastructure and enabling the wider adoption of electric mobility.
