Vascon Engineers Secures Rs. 6.61 bn Qualcomm India Order

Vascon Engineers has secured a domestic construction order worth Rs. 6.61 bn, including taxes, from Qualcomm India for developing an office facility in Bengaluru. The company disclosed the contract to the stock exchanges on September 25, identifying Qualcomm India, the Indian arm of the multinational technology company, as the awarding entity.

The project covers Block K and includes three basement levels, a ground floor and 12 additional floors. It also includes associated infrastructure needed for the planned office facility, making the contract a significant addition to Vascon Engineers’ commercial construction portfolio.

The order will be executed under a Design and Build, guaranteed maximum price contract model. Under the disclosed terms, work is required to be completed within 30 months from the date on which the site is formally handed over to the company.

The completion period will therefore begin only after site handover, rather than from the date of the exchange filing. The company has not indicated any separate start date in the disclosure, and the filing links the execution schedule directly to the formal transfer of the site.

Vascon Engineers also stated that its promoter, promoter group and group companies have no interest in Qualcomm India. It classified the arrangement as a non-related-party transaction under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations.

The contract expands the company’s order portfolio in commercial construction and adds a technology-sector project in Bengaluru, one of India’s established office and innovation centres. Execution will involve the construction of the basements, the Ground + 12-floor structure and supporting infrastructure within the stated schedule. The disclosure did not provide a separate value for individual components of the work or a further breakdown of the consideration.
