Vedanta Metal Bazaar Expands to International Markets
Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited has expanded its flagship digital e-commerce platform, Vedanta Metal Bazaar (VMB), to international markets, enabling overseas customers to order and buy aluminium products online.
The platform will now serve customers across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas. International buyers will gain access to more than 1,000 aluminium product variants along with simplified price booking, live LME-linked hedging and digital transaction management.
Vedanta Metal Bazaar processed transactions worth nearly $4.1 billion, or over Rs 38,000 crore, in FY26 and fulfilled more than 23,000 orders. The platform is also used by more than 550 MSMEs in India, in addition to large OEM customers.
Rajesh Kumar, CEO, Vedanta Aluminium, said the global expansion marks a significant step in the company’s efforts to digitalise aluminium procurement and strengthen engagement with international customers. He added that the move supports India’s growing role in global trade and advanced manufacturing.
The international rollout was recently marked by a global customer webinar attended by more than 600 participants from international markets.
Designed as a 24x7 digital gateway, VMB Exports offers online self-registration, digital contract and MoU management, simplified price booking and live financial visibility, including ledger balances and invoices.
The platform also integrates quality and transaction documents such as test certificates, bank guarantees and letters of credit into the digital procurement process.
Vedanta plans to add features including end-to-end shipment tracking, one-click access to export documents such as bills of lading and packing lists, and AI-driven virtual assistants for customer support.
According to the company, the international expansion will also enable global buyers to source certified, traceable and sustainable aluminium products while simplifying procurement and reducing supply-chain complexity.
