The Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival (VUWMF), one of India’s leading destination music festivals, recently announced its 10th edition, marking a decade of cultural exchange through music. Supported by Hindustan Zinc and conceptualised by SEHER in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, the festival will be held from 6–8 February 2026 in Zinc City, Udaipur.

Since its inception, the festival has focused on bringing world music to Indian audiences while preserving Rajasthan’s traditional instruments and rare musical forms. It remains the only music festival in the country curated around the three natural moods of the day—morning, afternoon and evening.

The upcoming three-day edition will feature 20 bands from over 10 countries, presenting a wide spectrum of folk, indigenous and contemporary global music. Performances will take place across three iconic Udaipur venues, each offering a distinct sonic experience.

Morning sessions at Manji Ka Ghat will centre on meditative and introspective music aligned with mental well-being. Afternoon performances at Fateh Sagar Paal will explore romantic and emotive sounds by the lakeside, while evening concerts at Gandhi Ground will deliver high-energy, contemporary and pop-driven performances.

Reflecting on the milestone, Sanjeev Bhargava, Founder, SEHER, said the festival has evolved from a simple idea into a global celebration of harmony and shared human emotion, with Udaipur providing the perfect cultural backdrop.

Beyond VUWMF, Hindustan Zinc continues to promote India’s cultural heritage through initiatives such as Srajan – The Spark, Smritiyan, and the Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon, which supports awareness around rural malnutrition in Rajasthan.

Over the past decade, the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival has grown into one of India’s most distinctive cultural gatherings, bringing together artists and audiences from across the world and reinforcing music as a universal language.
