Vidhan Bhavan Metro B-five Gate Reopens After Budget Session
With restrictions lifted, access through the B-five gate has been restored and commuter flow is expected to become more efficient during peak hours. The reopening is likely to reduce congestion at other entry and exit points and to shorten transit times for regular users. Station management has adjusted operational arrangements to accommodate the resumed movement and will monitor crowd dispersal.
The Aqua Line lift facility at the A two gate of the Vidhan Bhavan station has also been made operational, offering improved vertical access for passengers. The lift is expected to benefit senior citizens, differently-abled passengers and daily commuters, particularly during busy periods. The A two exit provides direct access to Manora – Navin Amadar Niwas and the YB Chavan Centre, locations that routinely see significant footfall.
Vidhan Bhavan station serves as a strategic transit hub linking several important landmarks, including the Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan, Mittal Towers and the State Bank of India headquarters. Other nearby destinations such as the Sachivalay Gymkhana, Cooperage Football Ground and Free Press House also rely on the station for commuter access. Authorities have advised passengers to follow station signage and official Mumbai Metro Line three communications for updates and to plan journeys accordingly.
