VinFast Partners RoadGrid Ahead of India EV Launch

Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast has partnered with RoadGrid, an EV charging and aftersales solutions provider, as it prepares to launch its products in India later this year.
The collaboration aims to build a reliable and accessible nationwide charging and service infrastructure, ensuring a seamless ownership experience for Indian customers. VinFast stated that this strategic alliance is part of its broader plan to establish a strong aftersales support system across the country.
The company also plans to set up extended service workshops through partnerships with potential service providers, including RoadGrid, to strengthen its operational reach.
“Our goal is to make owning an electric vehicle as effortless and reassuring as possible. By joining hands with RoadGrid, we are taking meaningful steps to ensure that every VinFast customer in India has access to dependable charging and responsive service,” said Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia.
VinFast is targeting a launch in India with its VF6 and VF7 models before the festive season in 2025.
RoadGrid CEO Deepesh Shrinath commented, “VinFast’s entry into the Indian EV market is a turning point. Together, we aim to redefine EV ownership through smart infrastructure, real-time connectivity, and a reliable service backbone.”
VinFast is investing Rs 42 billion (USD 500 million) to establish a manufacturing facility in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. The plant is expected to be operational by early H2 2025. The company plans to scale production to 150,000 EVs annually and export to markets in the Middle East and Africa.
