Vizhinjam ICTT Project Phase I: 88% work done

Approximately 88% of the first phase of development for the Vizhinjam International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT) has been finished. Furthermore, it is anticipated that trial operations on the same will start by the end of June 2024.
As of right now, around 98% of the reclamation and dredging work, 92% of the berth, 94% of the building construction, 74% of the container yard construction, 91% of the project equipment work, including cranes, and 70% of the road and gate complex construction are finished.
The project entails building a deepwater, greenfield ICTT in Vizhinjam, Kerala, on a design, build, finance, operate, and transfer basis for a 40-year concession. The project is expected to cost Rs. 77 billion.
