Yogi Adityanath Orders Airport and Logistics Hub in Bundelkhand
Chairing a high-level review meeting on 29 October, the Chief Minister instructed that the Agra–Gwalior Greenfield Expressway be extended up to BIDA and Jhansi, and asked the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to hold consultations on the proposal, according to a PTI report.
He also called for swift progress on the fourth Delhi–Chennai railway line, directing the construction of a railway station within the BIDA zone and the development of a Delhi–Nagpur Industrial Corridor node in the same area.
To boost logistics efficiency, the Chief Minister asked officials to expedite work on the link expressway connecting the Bundelkhand Expressway to BIDA, and to establish a multimodal logistics park to strengthen industrial supply chains and support exports.
Reviewing ongoing land acquisition and infrastructure development, Yogi Adityanath said that Bundelkhand would soon emerge as a symbol of progress rather than backwardness, noting that BIDA’s success could trigger an industrial revolution across the region.
He directed that all land acquisition be completed within six months and ordered the immediate deployment of additional registry and revenue staff. The Chief Minister also instructed that qualified engineers, town planners, and architects be appointed within 15 days to accelerate project execution.
Officials informed that 56,662 acres had been approved for BIDA’s formation, of which 22,028 acres had already been acquired. A new digital platform has been launched to ensure transparent and timely land acquisition, covering every stage from farmer consent to payment, while a dedicated call centre is expected to become operational next month.
Connectivity projects linking BIDA with National Highways 27 and 44 are nearing completion, while proposals for an IT park, bus depot, truck terminal, and logistics facilities are also under consideration.
These integrated initiatives are expected to transform Bundelkhand into a major industrial and logistics hub, aligned with the state government’s vision of balanced regional development and infrastructure-led growth.
