Zelio E-Mobility Sets Up Manufacturing Plant in Cuttack

Zelio E-Mobility Limited (the Company) has commissioned a new manufacturing facility in Cuttack, Odisha, marking a significant milestone in its expansion across eastern India. The move follows strong demand and customer acceptance in Odisha and West Bengal, which the Company identified as high-growth markets. The facility is intended to reduce delivery timelines from the Hisar facility, lower logistics costs and improve supply chain efficiency while strengthening dealer support across eastern and southern India.

With the commissioning of the Odisha plant, total installed production capacity has increased from 72,000 units per annum to 180,000 units per annum, and the existing Hisar facility has been enhanced from 72,000 units to 120,000 units per annum. The newly commissioned Odisha plant contributes 60,000 units per annum. The Hisar expansion was achieved through process-level optimisation, installation of extended conveyor systems and additional machinery.

Investment in the Odisha facility is under Rs 30 mn and the plant is operational, with the Company expecting immediate revenue contribution and a significant share of overall revenues by FY26–FY27. The expansion follows strong performance in the first half of FY26, with consolidated revenue of Rs 1347.8 mn and net profit of Rs 118.7 mn. Earlier in the year the Company completed its SME IPO of Rs 783.4 mn, with approximately Rs 360 mn of unutilised proceeds earmarked for capacity expansion and new facilities.

The Odisha facility is expected to generate employment for approximately 60 to 100 individuals across production and operational functions, reinforcing the Company's commitment to regional economic development. The plant will initially focus on electric two-wheelers and the Company is in discussions with the Odisha government regarding potential incentives and support programmes. Management indicated that the new plant will bring the Company closer to riders and dealers, enable faster deliveries and stronger after-sales responsiveness and support the acceleration of its expansion strategy into Tier two and Tier three cities.
