A 30-member Australian Clean Energy Delegation, representing 22 companies, is visiting India from 7 to 11 July 2025 to strengthen bilateral collaboration in clean energy. The group brings expertise in energy storage, solar technology, AI for energy systems, green hydrogen, weather forecasting, and capacity building. 

The delegation is led by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) in partnership with the state governments of New South Wales and Victoria, with additional support from Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia. 

The delegation is participating in the 11th India Energy Storage Week (IESW) in New Delhi from 8 to 10 July, where Australia is a Country Partner. The visit also includes a stop in Bengaluru to explore site-based collaborations and foster partnerships with India’s clean energy ecosystem. 

Australia offers a compelling value proposition in the sector with abundant renewable energy resources, advanced R&D, a skilled workforce, and a stable investment environment. The country is actively investing in a “Future Made in Australia” and aims to position itself as a renewable energy superpower. 

Clean energy has also been identified as a key focus area under the India–Australia economic roadmap, offering mutual growth potential. 

Commenting on Australia’s engagement at IESW 2025, Nathan Davis, Trade and Investment Commissioner, Austrade, said:

The Australia–India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (AI-ECTA) and A New Roadmap for Australia's Economic Engagement with India are deepening opportunities for Australian businesses. The Austrade team in India is available to facilitate the development of business linkages between Australia and India in the clean energy sector to take best advantage of those opportunities.” 

The visit reflects Australia’s commitment to expanding commercial and knowledge partnerships with India in the clean energy domain, paving the way for a more sustainable and collaborative future.
