Ecofirst Services, a Tata Consulting Engineers subsidiary, has successfully delivered the Bharat Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. Commissioned by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) and India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), the Pavilion was completed in just 90 days, overcoming regulatory and logistical challenges, and has been awarded the IGBC Platinum Plaque for Sustainable Interiors. 

Located in the "Connecting Lives" zone, the Pavilion showcases India’s cultural heritage, technological innovation, and engineering excellence. Ecofirst was responsible for the end-to-end project—from concept and curation to design, execution, and operations—offering visitors an immersive experience rooted in sustainability and storytelling. 

Architectural Design: 

Inspired by the Padmapani Bodhisattva and symbolised by a blue lotus, the 18,000 sq ft structure reflects the ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—“The World is One Family.” 

 Key Zones Include: 

The Pavilion uses modular, recyclable materials and integrates low-flow fixtures, high-efficiency HVAC, occupancy sensors, CO₂ monitors, and real-time energy tracking. It is among the few temporary Expo structures in Japan to earn IGBC’s top rating. 

 Visitor Impact: 

The Pavilion has become one of the five most visited at Expo 2025 Osaka, drawing praise for its design quality and immersive storytelling. It has also been recognised as the best Pavilion in its X-box category.

With participation from over 160 countries, Expo 2025 Osaka runs until October 13, 2025, and marks 55 years since the 1970 Osaka Expo. The Bharat Pavilion captures the evolving global narrative—from progress and harmony to inclusivity, sustainability, and cultural connectivity.
