IMTEX Forming 2026 to Gather Global Metal Forming Leaders in Bengaluru

The Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) will organise IMTEX Forming 2026 from 21 to 25 January 2026 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru. The exhibition, positioned as Asia’s largest showcase on metal forming and manufacturing technologies, will bring together more than 600 exhibitors from 20 countries across four halls spanning 46,000 square metres.

Concurrent events will include Tooltech, focusing on machine tool accessories, metrology solutions and tooling systems; Digital Manufacturing, highlighting additive manufacturing and Industry 4.0; Weldexpo in association with the Indian Institute of Welding (IIW-India); and co-located events Moldex India and Fastenex India by Messe Stuttgart spotlighting moulding, fasteners and fixing technologies.

Parallel activities will feature the ninth International Seminar on Forming Technology on 22–23 January 2026; i2 Academia Square, offering a platform for research institutions to present R&D initiatives; and the Jagruti-IMTMA Youth Programme to promote awareness of modern manufacturing among young professionals.

Group participation from Germany, Italy, Japan and Taiwan will showcase the latest innovations for sectors such as automotive, aerospace, defence, railways, power, construction equipment, capital goods, medical equipment, electronics and more.

Mohini Kelkar, President, IMTMA, noted that metal forming accounts for 29 per cent of the Indian machine tool market and is projected for measurable growth. She highlighted FY25 metal forming machine tool consumption at ₹9,139 crore and production at ₹2,696 crore, with exports rising by approximately 6 per cent year-on-year.

Jibak Dasgupta, Director General & CEO, IMTMA, said the event will see growing participation from laser and laser-based technology manufacturers, with displays including fibre laser machines, servo presses, welding and 3D printing solutions. IMTEX Forming 2026 is expected to further accelerate manufacturing efficiency, digital transformation and export competitiveness.
