The Omaxe State hosted the prestigious Gala Event organised by the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BRICS CCI), bringing together diplomats from BRICS+ nations, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss the role of sports in shaping future cities. Themed “The Rise of Mega Sports Cities – India’s Turn at the Global Stage”, the event underscored India’s aspirations to emerge as a global hub for sports-led development. 

The evening featured cultural performances, keynote addresses by Sameep Shastri, Vice Chairman, BRICS CCI, and Jatin Goel, Executive Director, Omaxe, along with an in-depth presentation on The Omaxe State. Discussions explored sports as a catalyst for diplomacy, commerce, and urban growth. 

Speaking on the occasion, Mohit Goel, Managing Director, Omaxe, said, “It is an honour for The Omaxe State to host such a distinguished gathering. Sports have the power to unite communities, transform cities, and create lasting value. With the stadium and world-class infrastructure at its core, The Omaxe State is designed to put Delhi NCR and India on the global sporting map.” 

Jatin Goel, Executive Director, Omaxe, added, “The dialogue has strengthened the belief that India is ready to create benchmarks in sports-led urban development. With The Omaxe State, we have an opportunity to position Delhi NCR as a global sports destination.” 

Spanning 50.4 acre and developed under a PPP model with the Delhi Development Authority, The Omaxe State will feature an ICC and FIFA-standard 30,000-seater stadium at its heart, supported by five lifestyle districts—Sports, Hospitality, Food, Social, and Shopping. Inspired by global benchmarks such as Melbourne Olympic Park and Singapore Sports Hub, the project aims to be among the world’s most successful sports-led ecosystems. 

With India’s bids for the 2030 Commonwealth Games and the 2036 Olympics, The Omaxe State is strategically positioned to support global sporting opportunities while offering hospitality, retail, and entertainment infrastructure of international scale.
