SAIL, CPSE supplied 48,200 tonnes of steel for Purvanchal Expressway

The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) under the Ministry of Steel have supplied 48,200 tonnes of steel for Purvanchal Expressway, which was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi.

The overall steel products provided by SAIL for this infrastructure project includes TMT bars, structural steel and plates. The Purvanchal Expressway project, which is 341 km long, will be providing better road connectivity and will join many districts of Uttar Pradesh.

SAIL has provided India's steel requirement and has played a vital role in the growth and development of India. Earlier, SAIL steel was used in various infrastructure projects, including the Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways, Atal Tunnel, Bogibeel and DholaSadiya bridges, etc. and other projects of national importance.

SAIL will continue to enhance its steel production with a steady increase in the percentage of value-added products in its production business.
