JSW Steel Limited has delivered a landmark performance in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) 2025, securing a score of 88 — its highest to date. The achievement places the company in the 100th percentile of the global steel industry, making it the highest-scoring steel company worldwide and marking a 7 per cent year-on-year improvement.

Commenting on the milestone, Jayant Acharya, Joint Managing Director and CEO, JSW Steel Limited, said the company views sustainability as a strategic, enterprise-wide priority. He highlighted JSW Steel’s continued focus on climate action, nature, and social sustainability, noting that the industry-leading score reflects tangible progress across key ESG parameters.

The S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment evaluates more than 12,000 companies annually, assessing financially material environmental, social and governance practices. CSA results are used to construct major global ESG indices, including the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) and the S&P 500 ESG Index.
