Shyam Metalics and Energy has expanded its production capabilities at its Pakuria facility with the commissioning of two annealing furnaces and a 2300 mm vertical foil separator (LGSS).
The company has commenced commercial production from two annealing furnaces with capacities of 25 MT per annum and 30 MT per annum, aimed at improving process efficiency, output consistency, and product quality.
In addition, the newly commissioned vertical foil separator enables precise separation of ultra-light gauge (ULG) and light gauge (LG) foil across a thickness range of 6 to 15 microns, supporting specialised product requirements.
These upgrades are expected to enhance process control and strengthen manufacturing capabilities at the Pakuria unit, while expanding the company’s value-added product portfolio.
Brij Bhushan Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director, said the additions align with the company’s focus on operational efficiency and consistent delivery of high-quality products in response to evolving demand.
The expansion forms part of Shyam Metalics’ broader strategy to strengthen its manufacturing base and improve responsiveness to market requirements in the value-added metals segment.
