Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) has approved the construction of a second terminal that will increase the capacity of Bengaluru airport to 15 mn passengers annually. Design for the new terminal building will be selected through a global bidding process. The expansion of associated airside infrastructure to cater to the new terminal will also commence along with the expansion.
