Cargo hub at Jewar to be built by Air India SATS-Zurich Airport
According to Chandrasekaran's statement, "I am happy to say that we are going to build an integrated multimodal air cargo through Air India SATS with our partner Zurich Airport in the new Jewar airport."
Air India's ground handling services division is known as Air India SATS.
"Sees tremendous opportunities in the state because of the tourism that's going to come, both religious tourism as well as wildlife and other aspects that attract tourists," Chandrasekaran stated.
He went on to say that, "Air India has a detailed plan to connect every part of UP to the rest of India and possibly to important places around the world."He stated that TCS and the steel, automotive, retail, financial, and power industries all contribute to Tata Group's substantial presence in UP. He stated, "Eighteen Tata Group companies are deeply present (in UP)," and added that 50,000 people are employed.
He stated, "We are on a huge expansion across all of our companies in the state...We are already having huge investments in Noida, both from the point of view of TCS and also from the point of view of Air India," but he did not provide any details regarding the investments.
Additionally, Chandrasekaran stated that Uttar Pradesh is "absolutely well placed" to become a "trillion-dollar economy" when India reaches USD 5 trillion and "again become a USD 2 trillion economy by the time India reaches USD 10 trillion."
He talked about industries like agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism that have a lot of potential to help the state grow.
