CAE Simulation Training Private Limited (CSTPL), a joint venture between InterGlobe Enterprises and CAE, has announced the launch of a world-class pilot training centre in Mumbai, with operations expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026. The upcoming 44,000 sq ft facility will accommodate up to six full-flight simulators (FFS) and will initially be equipped with two Airbus A320 FFS units.

The project, with an estimated investment of Rs 5.8 billion, aims to address India’s growing need for trained aviation professionals. According to CAE’s 2025 Aviation Talent Forecast, the Asia Pacific region will require 98,000 new pilots by 2034, with India alone projected to need 20,000 pilots over the next decade.

Michel Azar-Hmouda, Division President, Commercial Aviation at CAE, stated, “The addition of the Mumbai training centre reflects our commitment to bringing world-class training closer to India’s aviation hubs, enhancing operational efficiency and supporting airline growth.”

Aditya Pande, CEO of InterGlobe Enterprises, added, “With Mumbai joining our network alongside Greater Noida, Gurugram, and Bengaluru, we are reinforcing our efforts to build a robust aviation training ecosystem that meets India’s current and future needs.”

The Mumbai facility will offer DGCA-approved training programmes aligned with global standards, including type rating, recurrent training, and proficiency checks. While initially focused on the Airbus A320, the centre will eventually offer training across Airbus, ATR, and Boeing platforms, enabling comprehensive pilot capability development.
