IndiGo Realigns Middle East Network, Operates 252 Weekly Flights

InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) has announced a cautious realignment of its Middle East network and will operate 252 weekly flights to and from the region from 16 March 2026 until 28 March 2026. The airline said the adjustments take effect on 16 March and reflect an evolving situation in the Middle East that requires capacity alignment while maintaining essential connectivity. The measures are intended to ensure safe and reliable operations amid continuing geopolitical risk.

Under the revised plan IndiGo will operate 126 weekly flights to and from Saudi Arabia, 28 weekly flights to and from Oman and 98 weekly flights to and from the United Arab Emirates. Planned services to Doha, Kuwait, Bahrain, Dammam, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah will remain suspended until 28 March 2026. The company cited factors including airspace restrictions, airport constraints and consistently rising fuel and insurance costs as drivers of the temporary changes. The airline will continue to monitor conditions and adjust operations as necessary.

Customers travelling from the listed Middle East locations will continue to be able to connect to multiple cities in India and beyond using IndiGo comprehensive network. The airline has said it stands ready to operate additional ad hoc flights for stranded passengers and is coordinating with relevant authorities to facilitate travel. The carrier emphasised its commitment to the safety and security of customers, crew and aircraft while adapting to the evolving operating environment. The airline operates a fleet of over 400 aircraft and runs around 2,200 daily flights, connecting more than 95 domestic and more than 40 international destinations, and carried 124 million customers in calendar year 2025. The company noted recent industry recognition including a Skytrax award and punctuality rankings from aviation analytics firms.
