Karnataka Mulls airports authority

The state government is considering the possibility of creating its own airports body to run airports that are being developed in the state, similar to the Airports Authority of India (AAI), according to Minister for Infrastructure Development MB Patil, who made the claim on Tuesday. Speaking to reporters in this location, he said that the state would not profit from turning over the operation of the airports to AAI.

Airport authority's viability will be evaluated, according to MB Patil

As a result, the government intends to run the airports independently. Why should AAI operate the airports if the state government is paying for them? The operation costs must also be covered by the state. Instead, he argued, the government might manage the upcoming airports in Vijayapura, Shivamogga, Raichur, and Ballari on its own.

However, Patil emphasized that thorough consideration of the advantages and disadvantages, practicality, and legal challenges would be conducted before making any decisions.
