Lucknow Airport to Raise Daily Flights to 134

Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow will increase daily flight movements from 108 to 134 under its winter schedule, with direct services to Bangkok resuming from November 17. The schedule will begin on October 25 and be fully implemented by November 1.

The expanded programme will connect Lucknow with 20 domestic and 10 international destinations. The international network will include Abu Dhabi and Riyadh, while the return of Bangkok services will provide an additional option for passengers travelling overseas.

Thai AirAsia will operate the direct flights between Lucknow and Don Mueang International Airport. The service is scheduled to arrive in Lucknow at 2235 hrs and depart at 2330 hrs. Bangkok flights were discontinued on June 5 and are being restored after a gap of more than four months.

The proposed increase is based on schedules submitted by airline partners. Actual flight movements, frequencies and timings will remain subject to airline decisions and operational requirements, while changing geopolitical conditions, including the ongoing crisis in West Asia, could also affect operations.

The airport is strengthening preparations for the winter season, particularly for low visibility and dense fog, which can disrupt flight movements. It recently held a Pre-Low Visibility Procedures coordination meeting with airline partners, Air Traffic Control, the Airports Authority of India and other stakeholders to review readiness and improve coordination for safe operations during the fog season.

Since January, the airport has handled around 149 flights diverted from other airports amid operational disruptions. The additional diversions have helped maintain continuity for air travellers during periods when flights elsewhere have been affected.
