Madhya Pradesh Launches PM Shri Tourism Helicopter Service
Following the launch, four helicopters departed for Ujjain, symbolising the start of regional air tourism. The initiative, led by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, will operate under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, connecting the state’s key religious, cultural, and wildlife destinations. Regular operations will begin on 20 November 2025 across three tourism sectors.
Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary (Tourism and Culture) and Managing Director of the Tourism Board, said the helicopter service follows the success of the PM Shri Tourism Air Service, which has already carried over 10,000 passengers within a year. “Given the state’s vast geography, this service will greatly improve connectivity and boost Madhya Pradesh’s position on India’s tourism map,” he said.
