Navi Mumbai International Airport scheduled to open in 2024

Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister, Maharashtra, announced that the international airport for Navi Mumbai would open for business in 2024.

The Maratha Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Agriculture was the audience (MCCIA). Fadnavis added that Maharashtra's "industrial culture" would soon be on track.

The ring road would serve as the growth engine for the Pune region, according to Fadnavis, who highlighted major projects including the Pune Metro and EV transit.

He claimed that the government is making attempts to build the Purandar airport in the Pune area and has recognised the critical need for it.

Along with the airport, he added, the government intends to build a logistics hub in Purandar. The Navi Mumbai and Purandar airports require connection.
